Ronen and Nick met as fine dining cooks in some of the best restaurants in New York City over a decade ago. They became fast friends because they shared the same values; make delicious food and have fun doing it. 

Little Sesame was born to do both, and let people in on the fun. We’ve traveled the country in our vintage VW cooking for friends, meeting farmers, and teaching kids (always with hummus in tow). We’re just getting started, and can't wait to see where the road takes us.  

Okay, maybe just our founder Emily… but in 2016, on a beachside café stop in Sydney, Australia, her bowl came topped with sprouted buckwheat seeds instead of granola...and THE BUCK-WILD OBSESSION BEGAN.

The crunch, the clean energy, the soil-loving crop, game over. Emily had to bring buckwheat home.

Since its 2018 debut at a Chicago fitness festival, Lil Bucks has evolved from a side hustle into a national brand with Whole Foods launches, pandemic pivots, and new product lines.

Today, Lil Bucks is here to fuel your crunch cravings while building a better food system for people and the planet.

We grew up running barefoot at Painterland Farms in the rolling hills of Tioga County, Pennsylvania, where our family has been farming for four generations.

We eventually left for college and to travel the world. But the more we experienced, the more we realized just how special our home really is. 

It’s our passion to share the joy, beauty, and hard work of farming. We wanted to find a way to connect more people directly with American farmers.
